The Daily Rosary

The Virgin Mary’s believed to have appeared to countless people around the world. Repeatedly in these visits, she has asked that the rosary be prayed daily. Mary says that by spending time with Jesus and her every day, very needed peace will result within ourselves and the world at large.

The entire rosary takes only about 20 minutes to pray. That’s a small amount of time to spend with the Lord, to show gratitude for our many blessings, and promote a better life for ourselves, our loved ones, and everyone worldwide.

The prayers of the rosary include: The Sign of the Cross-an affirmation of the Trinity; the Apostles’ Creed-a declaration of our Christian beliefs dating to A.D. 125; the Our Father-the prayer Jesus taught; the Hail Mary-which focuses on Jesus’s Incarnation and a request for Mary to pray for us; the Glory Be-a prayer of praise; and the Hail, Holy Queen-a prayer that recognizes Mary as our Mother of Mercy and asks, once again, for her to pray for us.

Throughout the rosary, we also meditate upon a series of biblically based Mysteries. These Mysteries highlight Jesus’ Incarnation, birth, early childhood, public ministry, Passion, death, Resurrection, and Ascension as well as the Descent of the Holy Spirit.

October is recognized as the month of the rosary. Why not participate by praying a rosary right now? We all are responsible for the condition of the world and promoting peace.
