Hans Christian Andersen said, “Every person’s life is a fairy tale written by God’s fingers.”
Why do we love fairy tales? Is it the conflict between good and evil, the drama, and endless possibilities? Or is it the happy ending that we so enjoy?
God created us with free will and an array of unique talents. We have the gifts and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are surrounded by saints and angels. Creation abounds, which does allow anything to happen. And when we trust in God’s righteousness and love for us, we know there will be a happy ending in this life, if not the next.
Is that not the stuff of fairy tales?
