What a Good Mother Wants

Grieving with Mary Cover

Mother’s Day raises all kinds of emotions in us about our mothers and childhoods. Not all mothers are created equally, and unfortunately, some do not put their children first.

For those of us who have or had a loving mother, and for those of us whose children fill our hearts, I know what we want for Mother’s Day. We want our children to be healthy and happy. And we overjoyed when all our children get along.

I am very blessed to come from a family that stands together. My siblings and I understand and accept one another. We are there to help and support each other to the best of our abilities, and my children are the same way with each other.

Our Heavenly Mother wants the same for us. We all are her children. We don’t have to like each other or how some live their lives. We only need to see things from each other’s point of view and do our best to accept each other unconditionally, just as Mary does with us.

Give your earthly and heavenly mother the best possible gift by loving, supporting, and striving to understand one another.
